Custom Inks

Printing requirements can vary significantly, from color gradations and substrate types to resistance against external agents. Colorprint provides customers with its extensive experience and technical expertise to develop the optimal formulation.

Custom Formulations

When requirements are complex, it can be very difficult to identify a product that fully meets your needs because there are multiple factors to consider.

Sometimes it is impossible to find a product on the market that satisfies all requirements.

Furthermore, defining a printing product requires specific expertise and experience in the world of printing and printing colors.

In these cases, Colorprint is able to create a specific formulation based on the customer's requests; through a structured process, we reach the optimal solution.

Subsequently, should the need arise to repeat the print with the same characteristics, Colorprint will be able to quickly produce a new supply of printing color by reusing the exact same production recipe.

Operational steps

Our operational process for custom color management

1) Requirement Analysis

Through a standardized form, the customer is guided in identifying all the factors that can influence the correct color formulation: from the type of substrate to the product's application and the required resistance standards.

2) Color Definition

The color to be reproduced can be defined by a Pantone® reference or directly through a physical sample.

3) Sample Submission

Sono utili sia come esempio del risultato finale da riprodurre. Inoltre sarà indispensabile avere dei campioni del supporto di stampa su cui fare le prove di stampa.

4) Formulation Development

The formulation is developed in the Colorprint laboratory, where technical tests are performed to verify colorimetry and compliance with the required resistance standards.

5) Customer Validation

A sample of the formulation is sent to the customer for use in their own printing cycle to verify compliance with the requirements.

6) Revision

If the initial samples require further refinement, the customer can request a revision of the formulation.

7) Production

Once the formulation is approved, we proceed with the production and delivery of the requested quantity. Should you need to reprint in the future, it will be possible to reproduce the exact same formulation.

Reliable Results

Our operational approach allows us to meet even the most challenging needs.
