Stay-fresh offset inks.

The LITOPURE series is a mineral oil-free range, specifically formulated to prevent the alteration of the organoleptic properties of food products contained within packaging printed with these inks.

These inks have low oxidation levels; therefore, particular care is recommended when handling printed materials due to their low rub resistance.

The LITOPURE series is particularly suitable for printing on gloss and matt coated paper and board, intended for food packaging.

Due to its specific technical characteristics and low odor, the LITOPURE series should always be overprinted with a water-based or UV varnish to improve the mechanical properties of the packaging.

• Stay-fresh for several days in the can and on the press (Drying index = 3)
• Free-flowing consistency
• Good stability with fountain solution
• Good wet-on-wet printability
• Fast setting speed
• Good print contrast
• Good gloss
• Drying by absorption and oxidation

Regarding food packaging, current legislation (MD 21.3.1973 and its subsequent amendments) stipulates that:

• the printed packaging must not alter the organoleptic properties of the food
• there must be no migration of substances that could make the food harmful
• there must be no direct contact between the print and the food
• the printed material must pass the water resistance test
